Patients with communication disorders are a vulnerable healthcare population. SLPs are uniquely qualified to help these patients improve communication with healthcare providers. This presentation will focus on describing how these patients are susceptible to diminished healthcare access, and ways SLPs can help prepare them for improved future medical interactions. |
